A nation claiming to be 80% Christian just re-crucified Christ again by its casual practice of faith if practiced at all, and by its abandonment of His Church and morality; for indifference, prejudice, deceit, perversity and selfishness for self-indulgence.
"The way we may be sure that we know him is to keep his commandments. Whoever says, "I know him," but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps his word, the love of God is truly perfected in him. This is the way we may know that we are in union with him: whoever claims to abide in him ought to live (just) as he lived." (1 John CH2: vs3-6)
Those who remain faithful will persevere as scripture tells us, and pray for the Mercy of Christ as we experience the results of the choice our nation has made.
"Nation will rise against nation,
and kingdom against kingdom; there will be famines and earthquakes from place to
place. All these
are the beginning of the labor pains. Then they
will hand you over to persecution, and they will kill you. You will be hated by
all nations because of my name. And then many will be led into sin;
they will betray and hate one another. Many false prophets will arise and
deceive many; and because of the increase of
evildoing, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But the one who perseveres to the
end will be saved." (Matthew CH24: vs7-13)
