Thomas Bigham was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in a Catholic family. after reaching adulthood during the advent of the sexual revolution during the 1960s and '70s, he developed doubts in faith and grew progressively further away from the practice of any organized faith.
In 1977, as a graduate of the Pennsylvania State Police Academy, Mr. Bigham began his sought after career as a police officer and by the completion of his second year, was evaluated to be one of the top three officers in self-initiated criminal interventions within the department, acquiring a superior felony arrest and conviction record and establishing the foundation of his career in professional investigations and research. His career flourished with the accumulation of vast investigative experience assigned to numerous specialized municipal, state and federal agencies ranging from criminal task forces throughout the state of Pennsylvania and nearby northeastern states to the federal DEA, U.S. Customs, FBI and others before later leaving the criminal arena and expanding upon his career in the field of licensed criminal and civil Investigations and investigative research. Prior to his retirement Thomas Bigham was the founder and director of Vortex IA, a New jersey based licensed professional investigations firm located on the east coast where he oversaw operations and trained others in various aspects of investigative techniques, personal protective services, and fugitive recovery. He appeared as an investigative commentator on Fox network’s “Court TV”. His career as a criminal and civil investigator and investigative researcher spans a period of 25 years.
In March of 2003, after being inspired to seek the truth in Christian faith, Thomas Bigham began investigative research into Christianity and its lineage through General Theology, Biblical and Systematic Theology, Christology, and ancient history and has devoted his life to the study of scripture. Today, after years of professional research and numerous discussions and debates with Christians of unlimited systems of beliefs, he is fully re-confirmed in the Catholic faith and has established a web based lay ministry titled, “Seeking Divine Mercy”, offering direction for those looking for answers to questions pertaining to Christianity and Catholicism in an effort to dispel the many misconceptions existing among Christians of all faiths.
