Who's Instigating Hatred?

A Christian organization known as the "Family Research Council" or FNC located in Washington D.C. was targeted August 15th, 2012, by a single gunman who allegedly resented their ideologies and non-acceptance of same-sex marriage because they promote the biblical principles of family and mirriage. The gunman had fifteen Chick-Fil-A sandwiches in a carry bag which also contained additional fully loaded clips or magazines to reload his gun should he get that far along in his intended shooting spree. By the grace of God, he was however, intercepted by the building manager who after being shot in the arm was still able to disarm and subdue the gunman until the police arrived. The FNC organization is a Christian non-profit group that supports family life and values and the biblical and historical definition of marriage as it has always been defined; that is as a union sealed by God between one man and one woman only throughout man's recorded history and in scripture.

Only a couple of weeks ago in a seemingly unrelated incident, the President of Chick Fil-A, Dan Cathy, expressed his person beliefs in the Bible and the biblical definition of marriage as a Christian during an interview on a Christian radio station. Someone apparently seeking to create a crisis chose to promote excerpts from that interview and release it as a public issue. Dan Cathy, President of the fast food chain was verbally attacked by a few politicians ignorant of the constitution and some gay rights groups who condemned him as a "hater" threatening to retaliate against his restaurant chain because of his expressing principles of his Christian faith. But a great many people responded nationally and showed their support of Mr. Cathy's constitutional right to express those views regardless of religious beliefs.

the reason I mention this attack against Mr. Cathy and Chick-Fil-A is to point out another group known as the "Southern Poverty Law Center" or SPLC of Montgomery, Alabama who publicly accused Mr. Cathy and his fast food chain "Chick-Fil-A" of being "haters" of gay and lesbian rights as well as being a financial supporter of "hate groups" including classifying the "Family Research Center" as such a hate group supported by Mr. Cathy.

It has become obvious that those factions such as the SPLC who wish to claim equal rights in circumstances where such rights were never extended before, push their agendas by condemning anyone who resists as a "hater" alleging they, as a hater, are seeking ill will against the gay community while the SPLC and alike present themselves as heroic intercessors. They do this by introducing Hatred which fuels civil unrest and often leads to terror tactics with unjustified "retaliation" against those who would interfere with their agenda. This is not to say that all gay rights groups are hypocrites or are attempting to instigate civil unrest, they are not.

In my opinion, any group that would publicly voice their own agendas directly against Christian principles (Christians never considered them "haters" of Christians for expressing their beliefs against Christianity by the way) in a country where the overwhelming majority of the population is in fact Christian, should realize that right of expression is not exclusive to them alone, but goes both ways and to all citizens of this country. Yet, they condemn those who hold Christian principles as "haters" promoting retaliation against them simply because they stand firm in their Christian beliefs and the word of scripture, recognizing the meaning of the covenant of marriage by its true intent and its only legitimate meaning. Groups promoting the notion of hatred seek to instill hatred and are not champions of civil rights at all, but are seeking to acquire legal recognition or advancement by inciting civil unrest and to achieve its goals through threats and fear tactics. As such these groups should be seriously investigated as possible contributors to the cause of such crimes and a determination sought as to what level of responsibility they my be held to for terroristic acts such as the shooting at the FNC located in Washington D.C.

As for those Christians who suffer such victimization:

“…whoever is made to suffer as a Christian should not be ashamed but glorify God because of the name. For it is time for the judgment to begin with the household of God; if it begins with us, how will it end for those who fail to obey the gospel of God? "And if the righteous one is barely saved, where will the godless and the sinner appear?" As a result, those who suffer in accord with God's will hand their souls over to a faithful creator as they do good.” (1 Peter CH4: vs16-19)
